Connection

God created us with a need to connect with others.  At Living Hope, we have formed a family, a community of brothers and sisters in Christ.  We love to get together!

Connection is essential to a healthy church family. When we connect with other believers in our church family, we experience the fullness of God's plan for us.

  • Connection is important because it reflects the nature of God. God is a relational being, and He created us in His image. We are meant to be in relationship with Him and with each other. When we connect with other believers in our church family, we are reflecting the image of God in a powerful way.
  • Connection is important for our spiritual growth. When we are surrounded by other believers who are growing in their faith, we are challenged and encouraged to grow as well. We can learn from each other, support each other, and pray for each other. We can also hold each other accountable and help each other to stay on the path of discipleship.
  • Connection is important for our emotional and practical needs. When we are facing difficult times, we need to know that we have a community of people who care about us and will support us. Our church family can provide us with practical help, such as meals, childcare, and transportation. They can also offer us emotional support, such as listening to us, praying for us, and encouraging us.
  • Connection is important because it allows us to fulfill the mission of the church. The church is called to be a community of believers who love God and love one another. We are also called to reach out to the world and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. When we are connected to each other, we are better able to fulfill this mission.

Small groups

Throughout the year, we have a variety of small groups that meet both in person and virtually.  These groups are so important to our growth as individuals as well as the family of God. These include home based groups in a variety of locations around the South Shore, couples' groups, men's groups, WhatsApp groups, and more!

Ministry teams

We have teams for ministry because it is more effective to work together than to work alone. When we work together, we can share our gifts and talents, and we can support and encourage each other. We can also reach more people and make a greater impact.

Here are some of the benefits of having teams for ministry:

  • Teams allow us to use our gifts and talents more effectively. When we work on a team, we can each focus on the tasks that we are best at. This allows us to be more productive and to make a greater contribution.
  • Teams provide support and encouragement. When we are working on a team, we have the support of our teammates. They can help us when we are struggling, and they can encourage us to keep going.
  • Teams allow us to reach more people and make a greater impact. When we work together, we can reach more people than we could on our own. We can also make a greater impact on the world.

If you are interested in getting involved in ministry, I encourage you to join a team. There are many different teams to choose from, so you can find one that is a good fit for your gifts and talents.
